GOV. BAKER DECLARES PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY:   

IMPOSES IMMEDIATE SALES BAN ON ALL VAPING PRODUCTS & DEVICES

Tuesday, September 24, Governor Charlie Baker declared a public health emergency exists with regard to e-cigarettes and vaping products.  With the declaration, the Governor imposed an IMMEDIATE SALES BAN ON ALL VAPING PRODUCTS & DEVICES.

The declaration takes effect immediately and will reportedly remain in effect for 120 days, yet the duration of the ban is at the discretion of the Governor.

All members are advised to immediately cease selling vaping products and devices. 

The MA Department of Public Health (DPH) has posted the declaration and related information on their website.  

WE HAVE ASKED THE BAKER ADMINISTRATION TO INCLUDE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETAILERS REGARDING THE REMOVAL AND STORAGE OF IMPACTED INVENTORY ON THE DPH WEBSITE.  Please check the DPH site or the RAM website frequently for updates.
