Small Business Summit

Wednesday, June 18
at the State House

Help turn the tide against those trying to make it harder
for you to run your small business!

Join RAM and fellow small business owners from across the Commonwealth for the Massachusetts Small Business Summit!

Every week, advocates storm the Massachusetts State House, pushing lawmakers to support higher labor costs, higher energy costs, and higher healthcare costs. Now, it's your turn. Please save the date to help turn the tide against those trying to make it harder for you to run your small business.

We ask that you participate in a day to raise the small business banner in Boston and fight to make Massachusetts more competitive and affordable for employers!

Please share this among your network of small business owners so that we have strength in numbers.

An Update from the MA DOR on Advance Payment of Sales Tax

Starting in July 2025, the MA Department of Revenue (DOR) is automating the assessment of advance payment penalties where a taxpayer fails to make the required payment by the 25th of the month for any return filed on or after July 1, 2025.  Since April 2021, taxpayers who had more than $150,000 in total liability for certain tax types, including sales tax, from the previous calendar year are required to make an advance payment before the related tax return is due.

More detailed information can be found within the DOR’s  FAQs.
