NRF Advocacy Bootcamp

One of the benefits of being a RAM member, is that we offer reciprocal membership with the National Retail Federation (NRF) so that you are also kept up-to-date and protected on Congressional and federal actions.

This summer the NRF is hosting a special advocacy bootcamp – a new exclusive advocacy training program to prepare retailers with the leadership skills to be an effective advocate and amplify retail's voice in public policy and RAM has been given the opportunity to nominate small business owners for the training.

Retail is the largest private-sector employer - don’t sit on sidelines as other people make decisions that impact your business. You are the best person to tell your story. Learn about policy issues and how to talk about them to be an effective advocate for your business and your industry.

When: July 9-10, 2019 (Tuesday is a travel day – there will be a welcome reception in the evening)
Where: National Retail Federation Headquarters, 1101 New York Ave. NW, Suite 1200, Washington, D.C.

We are looking for members who would be interested in being nominated for one of the 30 spots available nationwide. (The travel and lodging will be covered by NRF).

The bootcamp will be broken down into a training session in the morning – focusing on your story and providing you tips to telling it in a way that will have the most impact.  The afternoon will be the hill visits.

Meeting with your Member of Congress or any lawmaker can be intimidating.  Learn from the experts how to be your own best advocate both in Washington and at home.

If you are interested in being nominated, contact Andi Shea, RAM’s Membership Director at 617.523.1900 or at [email protected] and she will work with you to submit your nomination.
