Join RAMHIC before the end of the year and save!

RAM members are reminded that BCBSMA health insurance plans, with effective dates through the end of the year, may still be purchased through association’s health insurance cooperative at a 3% discount off available rates.

With the discount set to expire in the new year, the cooperative will be expanding its package of free ancillary benefits in an effort to continue providing value to participating members.  Starting January 1, 2022, all members purchasing a BCBSMA health plan through the cooperative will also receive free accident, life, vision, hospital indemnity and employer assistance plans for their employees, as well as access to fee-waived health financial accounts.

For members enrolling or renewing their BCBSMA health plan prior to the new year, this presents a unique opportunity to take advantage of both the current 3% money-saving discount for another year while also receiving the value added benefits come January.

SOS: Save Our Shipments Campaign and Toolkit

The National Retail Federation (NRF) launched a grassroots campaign to raise awareness with Congress on ways to address the supply chain crisis. The campaign is entitled SOS: Save Our Shipments and it calls on Congress to act on a few critical pieces of legislation including:

  1. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework which includes historic investments in infrastructure that will help get America’s supply chains back on track.
  2. The DRIVE-Safe Act (S. 659, H.R. 1745) to help add more truck drivers to the workforce
  3. The Ocean Shipping Reform Act (H.R. 4996) which addresses some of the long-standing unfair business practices by ocean carriers and terminal operators are complicating the supply chain disruption issues and adding to port congestion.
The latest NRF blog post details these legislative proposals and includes complete information on the campaign.

RAM encourages all members to participate in this campaign.
