Small Business Day on Beacon Hill

"Helping Small Businesses Compete"

May 15th, 2024
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

at the
Massachusetts State House

RAM, NFIB and the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) are excited to co-host Small Business Day on Beacon Hill at the State House!

This year's program will stress the importance of meeting with your legislators in the State House to tell them, face to face, how their policies have a real-world impact on your small business. There are far too many policies that will harm the small business economy and lawmakers need to hear real stories from real business owners like you. Make no mistake, those who advocate for making it more expensive to run a business in Massachusetts are at the State House every day, pushing us further away from affordability and making it harder to compete. Now it’s your turn. Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to be a part of the solution!

RAM, NFIB, and MRA members, as well as members from other participating groups and guests, are welcome to attend. However, advanced registration is required.

- When: Wednesday, May 15th | 10-11:30 am*
- Where: Massachusetts State House, Room 428
- Labor shortages vs. the bills allowing more time away from the workplace.
- Unemployment Insurance… a $2.7 billion problem and rising.

- Visits With Legislators In the State House
*State House visits will occur after the morning program concludes at 11:30 am. Details will be sent to you closer to the date of the event.

2024 NRF America’s Retail Champions Program

The National Retail Federation (NRF) is gearing up for the 2024 Retail Advocates Summit - the retail industry’s premier advocacy event – where we will convene retailers to share retail’s story with policymakers and celebrate retailers’ contributions to advocacy.

As part of the Summit, we welcome our state retail association partners to nominate small retailers from your membership to participate in NRF’s America’s Retail Champions program, which honors small retailers' commitment to advocacy and their communities.

America’s Retail Champions 2024
NRF’s America’s Retail Champions program honors small retailers for their contributions to advocacy and their communities at the Retail Advocates Summit.

Up to 50 U.S. small retailers will be selected as champions for the program; five will be selected as finalists and only one will be named as the 2024 America’s Retail Champion on July 25 at a special dinner at the Retail Advocates Summit.

  • A travel scholarship to Washington, D.C., to attend the Retail Advocates Summit (July 24-25, 2024) which will cover attendee travel and lodging.
  • Networking opportunities with members of Congress and retail industry leaders from brands large and small.
  • Prominent brand recognition and exposure through a curated product display at The Retail Experience — an interactive exhibit aimed at showcasing the power of retail to influential policymakers.
